2026 EXHITBITOR SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE

Entries to be postmarked by Saturday, August 29th or emailed to [email protected] no later than midnight on August 31st. Electronic entry submission is available at www.assistexpo.ca/orono-fair. Online entries will shut down at midnight on August 31st, and late entries for most classes (excluding animals) will not be accepted. In-person drop off during fair week will not be accepted either, we kindly ask that you enter online, email or mail in your entries.

Our Office Administrator will be available in the portable building on the grounds from 10am – 2pm, Saturday, August 29th and Sunday, August 30 for last-minute drop-offs of paper copy entries.

Good luck! All entries must be submitted electronically or mailed and postmarked by August 29th, 2026 for best chance at a spot. Depending on the number of submissions, it may not be possible to display all submissions. Every effort will be made to do so. Mail your exhibit form to the address on the first page of the fair booklet or send electronically through www.assistexpo.ca/oronofair. Please fill out a separate exhibit form for every family member entering an artwork. For any questions regarding appropriate framing and preparation of works so that they are ready to hang email [email protected] 

RULES & REGULATIONS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

  1. All submissions must be suitably framed and ready for hanging with secure picture wire on the back and ready to go. (Absolutely NO taped wire/string will be accepted.) Artwork will be denied if it is unable to be hung with an “S” hook. We are not responsible for any artwork being damaged.  If unsure, please email [email protected] so your work has the best chance for exhibition. 
  1. Each person may submit a total of TWO artworks (even if they are in different mediums)
  2. As we cannot be responsible for the artworks dropped off outside of the following times, please ensure that the artworks is delivered to the art competition booth in the arena at the Fairgrounds between 4-8 pm on Wednesday September 9th, 2026 or between 9-10am on Thursday, September 10th, 2026. Artwork is to be picked up at the close of the Fair between 4:30- 5:00 pm on Sunday September 13th, 2026. Artwork cannot be picked up before 4:30pm unless otherwise communicated. Once again, we cannot be responsible  for artwork left beyond these times. Thanks!
  1. Adults may submit a 50 word biography to be displayed by their work; use a type size all can read. Teen and Juniors may submit a 25 word explanation of their pieces if they wish. Tell us why you love the work!

ADULT SECTION (for 18+)

Prize Money: First: $50.00, Second: $35.00, Third: $25.00

for each of the following categories:

  1. Oils and Acrylics
  2. Watercolours and Prints
  3. Pen and Ink, Pencil, Charcoal
  4. Mixed Media (this can be artwork created from any combination of any material. but artwork must be ready and able to be hung on a wall)

Special Adult Category: 

(automatic judging of all submitted.)

TEEN SECTION (for 13-17 year olds)

Prize Money: First: $35.00, Second: $25.00, Third: $15.00

  2. Watercolours and Prints
  3. Pen and Ink, Pencil, Charcoal

JUNIOR SECTION (for 7-12 year old)

Prize Money: First: $20.00, Second: $15.00, Third: $10.00

This section is open to any type of media: oil, acrylic, watercolour, prints, and drawings on pen and ink, pastel, charcoal, and mixed media. All works in the junior section are judged under one category, unlike the adult section.
