2026 Board Meetings
Our Board of Directors meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of every month 7:30pm at the Orono Fairgrounds in the portable building . All are welcome to attend. If you plan to attend a board meeting kindly please let our Office Manager know by sending an email to [email protected] or by calling 905-983-9510.

2025 OAS Honorees Nominations Are OPEN!
Who can be nominated as an OAS Honoree?
- Honorees are individuals recognized and awarded for their outstanding, long term contributions to Orono Agricultural Society.
- Persons who have distinguished themselves through exemplary service to the Orono Agricultural Society for a minimum of 10 years
- Persons who may/may not have served as a member of the Society, committee chair or director
- Persons who volunteer relentlessly
Process for Naming an OAS Honoree
- Anyone may nominate a person to be named an OAS Honoree by completing this nomination form above; click on the blue button above.
- Nominations can be received any time during the year
- Each November an Ad Hoc Honoree Committee (this year Bill Tomlinson, Tom Moffat, David Robinson and Mary Ann Found) will review all of the nominations received to that point, identify 3 – 5 nominees that the committee deems worthy and forward those names to the Board at their November meeting.
- The Board makes the final decision on whom will be recognized that year.
- The Board may also identify additional people should they choose.
- The Honorees will be named at the annual general meeting held in January.
- The Honorees will also be invited to attend the Opening of the Fair in the following September, where they will be publicly named and thanked.
