Ambasador Message

ORONO AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY AMBASSADOR’S MESSAGE

As my time as the 2024-2025 Orono Fair Ambassador term is coming to an end, I found myself reflecting on all the amazing memories I will forever cherish. My term as the ambassador is coming to an end, and for me, it is definitely bittersweet, as this has been a role I’ve dreamt of having since I was little. Still, I am so excited to see the next ambassador and the amazing things they will do for our community. If you know me, you know how close I hold this small village to my heart, having grown up here. So, it has been an absolute honour and privilege to represent our community and highlight the importance of agriculture with utmost pride over the past year. Experiencing the fair as the ambassador provided me with a whole new perspective and newfound respect for how much the community puts into this fair. It truly does take a village to keep this fair going as successfully as it has over the past 171 years.
Thank you to the community for allowing me to participate in your events and for welcoming me into this position with kindness. I truly don’t have the words to fully express my thanks and gratitude for the experiences that I have shared with the community over the year. As we venture into the 171st Orono Fair, I encourage you to celebrate everything that this fair does for our community and celebrates the roots of agricultural importance in our community. This fair season, celebrate and enjoy everything this fair has to offer, from the parade, to the different exhibits and contests, delicious foods and definitely the upcoming Tim Hicks concert!
As I hang up my sash and get ready to pass it on to the next ambassador, I look forward to sharing the wonderful privilege of representing Orono Agricultural Society, and I am excited for them to make their own incredible memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for all your continuous support and for allowing me to represent our community. Enjoy the 171st Orono Fair.
