Message From The PresidentGreetings! It is an honor and privilege to be the President of the Orono Agricultural Society and celebrate the 166th Orono Fair this year. On behalf of the Board of Director’s, I would like to invite and welcome you to our 2018 Orono Fair. This year’s theme is “Country Nights and Carnival Lights”. Whether you are new to the fair or someone who attends every year, we still have something for everyone. The James Barker Band will perform for the Friday Night Concert, livestock lane will be open, horse pulls, horse shows, truck and tractor pull, fiddle competitions, fair general store, midway and the ever-growing popular demo cross derby which will be held on Thursday and Sunday this year. To our generous sponsors, the Municipality of Clarington and local governments, your continued support year after year does not go unrecognized. On behalf of the Board of Directors and its members, thank you.
Lastly, to the Directors, OAS staff and volunteers of the Orono Agricultural Society, I personally would like to thank each of you for your tireless efforts, dedication and friendships! You sincerely are an amazing group of people to work with and the Orono Agricultural Society would not have existed for 166 years without people like you! On behalf of our community, thank you for your hard work and dedication. Look forward to seeing new faces and old friends at this year’s fair.
