The Fair Ambassador's Message

I was so thrilled when I was asked to run for the 2007-2008 Orono Fair Ambassador, winning was even more of a joy. I had no idea what I was in for but I knew it would be a lot of fun.

As this year's fair ambassador I was able to hand out awards at the Durham Central Fair events, and even M/C the children's talent show. I was also asked to the Chilli Cook-off in Orono, The Bowmanville and Newcastle Christmas parades, and the Volunteer's night at the Orono arena. The days were long but so much fun.

I also had the pleasure of attending the convention in Toronto and meeting all the other Ontario fair ambassadors. I look forward to the CNE fair ambassador competition, and what the rest of the year will bring.

I hope that next years ambassador will have as much fun as I did, and I wish all the competitors good luck.
